Chamber of Arms

The Chamber of Arms is Final Fantasy Resonance's hall of the 12 Legendary Arms, on a mountainous island northwest of Dirnado that you reach by airship from Chapter 5. Find each "Ancient" item (from chests, the Colosseum, Oblivion Palace, merchant ships and an NPC), then beat the level 50 guardian sealed in its pedestal to turn it into a Legendary Arm such as Ragnarok or the Artemis Bow; level 75 rematches give "+" versions.

The Chamber of Arms is where Final Fantasy Resonance's 12 Legendary Arms wait, crystallized on pedestals, on a mountainous island between Dirnado and Gronoa, northwest of the Continent of Wind (PowerPyx, Oct 21, 2026). You can fly there once you have the airship in Chapter 5. Each Arm needs its "Ancient" counterpart first; then you touch its glowing pedestal and beat the guardian sealed inside, a two-stage battle at level 50, to claim it. Square Enix's own words: the Arms "can only be claimed after defeating the ruthless monstrosities sealed within", and if you are unsure where one is, "visit the Chamber of Arms" (RPG Site, Jul 17, 2026). Game8 calls them "12 of the strongest equipment in the game" (Game8). Gamer Guru's guide marks the chamber on Dirnado's map, walks in past the pedestals, wins a guardian fight, and ends on the message that the Ancient Accessory has regained its strength and become the Gold Hairpin.

How the Chamber of Arms works

Gamer Guru's guide opens with the rule in one card: take each Ancient item to the Chamber of Arms and beat the level 50 boss at its pedestal, then come back to fight a level 75 boss at the same pedestal for the "+" version. Enter the chamber through a corridor and a portal; all 12 Arms sit inside on pedestals (PowerPyx). To claim one:

  1. Get its Ancient item (Ancient Greatsword, Ancient Bow and so on) somewhere in the world. Some only become available late in the story.
  2. Interact with that Arm's glowing pedestal in the chamber.
  3. Beat its guardian, a level 50 enemy with two stages. PowerPyx suggests coming back later when you are stronger.

After the Legendary Arms achievement (all 12), each pedestal offers a level 75 rematch for a "+" version of its Arm; RPG Site describes the same pattern, one fight at level 50 to transform the Ancient item and one at level 75 to upgrade it (RPG Site). The "+" fights are not needed for any trophy.

Sources: PowerPyx (where to get each, guardians, Arms), RPG Site (weaknesses; the Cloak's Lordly Robes), Game8 (guardian names), Gamer Guru (the Secrets Unearthed step). PowerPyx spells the cuirass "Tatenashi Armour"; RPG Site writes "Tatenashi Armor".

Notes on the hard ones

The Bow. Chloe is the Felicitas Item Shop NPC; once you have the airship, talk to her there, and she reappears in the Chamber of Arms (RPG Site: at the top) to hand over the Ancient Bow (PowerPyx). Gamer Guru adds a first step: complete Chloe's Chapter 1 side quest Secrets Unearthed, then talk to her again from Chapter 5, then once more in the chamber.

The Garment and the Hammer (treasure radar). In Chapter 6, get the treasure radar from an NPC in Gaberada, the Undertown of Gronoa: take the hidden path behind the inn, go down the stairs to the west, and find him by the water. Ping it with R2 while flying, and Lid gives hot or cold hints. The Garment is then in a cove on Gronoa's east coast. The Hammer also needs the High-Power Generator, which upgrades the radar one last time, and lies in a cove on Dirnado's west coast (PowerPyx). Gamer Guru's cards add a condition: the Garment needs radar upgrade 1 and the Hammer radar upgrade 2, and each also needs every earlier hidden treasure found first, so ping the radar in order.

Where is the High-Power Generator? The two guides disagree. PowerPyx says it is in a chest directly on the story path in Mt. Reizan in Chapter 7. RPG Site says a merchant ship in the open ocean southeast of Mysidia sells it for 60,000 gil, and that you give it to Lid for the radar. If the Mt. Reizan chest is already open, check the merchant ship.

The Rod. Try the locked Abandoned Cabin in the northeast of the Kingdom of Pharm first, then talk to the man northwest of the Town of Sian, in front of the inn, for the key, and go back to open the chest (PowerPyx).

Oblivion Palace. The Ancient Firearm (Chest IV) and Ancient Whip (Chest VI) sit in Treasure Room 3 and open at 76 and 84 Tablet Shards, given to the Enigmatic Princess (PowerPyx). There are 99 shards in all (PowerPyx).

Merchant Traders. In Chapter 8, merchant ships sail the world map. Hover the airship over one and interact to buy the Ancient Cloak (40,000 gil) or Ancient Tome (45,000 gil); if you are short of gil, they come back (PowerPyx). Gamer Guru's footage hovers over a trader at sea, whose offer reads "Got an ancient tome! Yours for 45,000 gil"; it calls the sales random, so you may need to try more than one ship. EXP, Gil and MRP Farming has gil routes.

Who uses them

PowerPyx's Ultima Weapon party puts six of the 12 to work: Rain with Ragnarok and the Tatenashi Armor, Fina with the Artemis Bow, Archwitch Fina with Fire Birch and the Lordly Robes, and Sakura with the Gold Hairpin (PowerPyx). The same guide says Aileen's Adamantite weapons are often better than the Legendary Arms, so do both: see Crafting and Adamantite. Game8 says the Arms "boast some of the highest stats in the game" (Game8); no guide we use had published full stat tables as of Oct 25, 2026.
