Crafting and Adamantite
Crafting in Final Fantasy Resonance means Aileen the weaponsmith forging one ultimate weapon per party member, eight in all, each from one Adamantite; she opens after the sub quest "Forger of Wills" in Dilmagia and works on the airship deck, and the eight Adamantite come from the Colosseum (three), the Merchant Ship (35,000 gil), the Oblivion Palace (80 and 89 Tablet Shards), the airship's treasure radar and a chest on the Rugged Mountain Path.
Crafting in Final Fantasy Resonance is one person and one material: Aileen, a weaponsmith, forges a single ultimate weapon for each of the eight party members, and each costs one Adamantite, of which the game holds exactly eight (Game8, updated Oct 24, 2026; PowerPyx, Oct 21, 2026). Square Enix introduced her in July as "a weaponsmith who is as adept at wielding weapons as she is forging them", who "forges powerful weapons for them...but requires precious adamantite to do so" (RPG Site, Jul 17, 2026). She is also one of the 26 Visions, with a Pilebunker that lowers enemy defense. PowerPyx says her weapons are often better than the Legendary Arms (PowerPyx, Oct 21, 2026), and Game8 calls them some of the strongest equipment in the game.

How to unlock Aileen
Start "Forger of Wills" by talking to the Gossiping Girl near the entrance of Dilmagia, the Machinopolis. Game8 says the quest is available from Chapter 5 (Game8), and RPG Site's steps send you around the map: Aileen at the Dilmagia Shipyard, the Military Engineer outside Dilmagia's weapon shop, the Affable Woman in the Village of Kol and the Former Rebel at the Rebel Hideout, then back to Aileen, who asks a question with three answers ("It's a tool of harm", "A way to rebel against troubling times", "Craft weapons that suit each of us well"). The reward is her Vision and a Magicite (RPG Site, Oct 22, 2026).
Finishing the quest is not quite enough. Game8 says to continue into Chapter 6, and PowerPyx places the quest itself in Chapter 6, after which Aileen stands on the airship deck and takes Adamantite (PowerPyx). PowerPyx's own Vision list puts her Vision in Chapter 5 (PowerPyx, Oct 21, 2026). Read together, the quest can be picked up in Chapter 5 and the forge opens in Chapter 6. The airship itself is on Chocobo and Airship.
The eight weapons
Hand Aileen one Adamantite, pick a character, and she forges that character's weapon. Each character has exactly one:
| Character | Weapon | Phys. Atk. | Mag. Atk. | Sanctity | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rain | Save the Vermillion | 179 | 93 | Physical and magic damage taken down 20% | |
| Lasswell | Shisui | 197 | 148 | Hone Senses and Placidity for 5 turns at the start of battle | |
| Fina | Elysium | 114 | 162 | 141 | Healing magic potency up 20% |
| Lid | Mechabo Hammer SUPER | 142 | 133 | Overclock, and acts first at the start of battle | |
| Nichol | Codex Providentiae | 106 | 181 | 169 | Tactic: Fluid Warfare for 3 turns, and acts first |
| Jake | Caelum Renatum | 222 | 88 | Luck level +8 at the start of battle; 2% of max MP back when a standard attack deals damage | |
| Archwitch Fina | Abyss | 130 | 178 | Debuffs and ailments she inflicts last 2 turns longer | |
| Sakura | Roselia | 154 | 204 | Concentrate for 3 turns and Sage's Eye for 4 turns at the start of battle |
Source: Game8, updated Oct 24, 2026. Archwitch Fina is a story spoiler: see Characters.
Which to craft first
Game8 puts Sakura's Roselia first: high stats, plus Concentrate, which doubles magic damage, and Sage's Eye, which raises the stagger rate of magic attacks. It then names Shisui, Mechabo Hammer SUPER and Codex Providentiae for their start-of-battle buffs, and says to craft for the characters you actually use, as soon as you have the Adamantite (Game8). PowerPyx's party for Ultima Weapon carries Roselia on Sakura beside Legendary Arms on the other three (PowerPyx). Shisui's Hone Senses, Codex Providentiae's Fluid Warfare and Mechabo Hammer SUPER's Overclock are each character's own buffs started for free, which is why Game8 rates them; the builds around them are on Best Party and Builds.

Three of the eight come from the Colosseum, which opens in Chapter 4. Gamer Guru's Legendary Arms video shows its League menus, with each battle's first-time reward beside it: Fledgling Battle 3 for the Ancient Greatsword, then Brawler Battle 5 for the Ancient Cuirass, each a few fights after the Adamantite ones (Gamer Guru, Oct 24, 2026). RPG Site lists the Fledgling League's five rewards as a Magicite Shard, Adamantite, the Ancient Greatsword, a Magicite Shard and the Gaia Hammer, and the Brawler League's as Magicite, Adamantite, Adamantite, Magicite and the Ancient Cuirass (RPG Site). The Rugged Mountain Path chest sits on the Chapter 6 story route, so most players pick it up without looking. The two Oblivion Palace pieces are the slowest: they need 80 and 89 of the 99 Tablet Shards, which PowerPyx counts as 12, 15, 15, 16, 17, 12, 8 and 4 across the eight chapters (PowerPyx, Oct 21, 2026). Game8 advises visiting the palace regularly rather than turning everything in late (Game8, updated Oct 22, 2026). The 35,000 gil at the Merchant Ship is the only Adamantite you can simply buy; RPG Site warns that the merchant ships' stock rotates (RPG Site). Ways to raise the gil are on EXP, Gil and MRP Farming.
Achievements
Two achievements belong to Aileen, both hidden on Steam: The Weapon that Suits the User ("Have Aileen craft a weapon for the first time") and The Weaponsmith ("Have Aileen craft weapons for all party members") (Steam, read Oct 25, 2026). Three days after launch only 0.5% and 0.1% of Steam players had them (Steam Web API, read Oct 25, 2026). PowerPyx lists The Weaponsmith as a Silver trophy on PlayStation (PowerPyx). Neither is missable: PowerPyx says Adamantite can still be collected in free roam after the story, but recommends getting it early because these are "often the best" weapons (PowerPyx). The rest of the list is on Achievements and Trophies.
Other weapons
Aileen's eight are the top of a short ladder. Early free weapons (Flamberge, Iwakirimaru, Sakura-Fubuki, Floral Arc) are on Best Early Choices; the Twelve Legendary Arms, each won from a guardian in the Chamber of Arms with a "+" version at level 75, are on Chamber of Arms. Equipment shops refresh with each chapter (RPG Site), and Game8 lists the weapon types as greatswords, katanas, bows, hammers, grimoires, whips, guns and rods (Game8, updated Oct 24, 2026).
Frequently asked questions
How do you unlock Aileen's crafting in Final Fantasy Resonance? Complete the sub quest "Forger of Wills", started from the Gossiping Girl near Dilmagia's entrance, then reach Chapter 6. Aileen then waits on the airship deck and forges a weapon for each Adamantite you give her.
Where is all the Adamantite in Final Fantasy Resonance? There are eight: Colosseum Fledgling Battle 2 and Brawler Battles 2 and 3, the Merchant Ship for 35,000 gil, the Oblivion Palace at 80 and 89 Tablet Shards, the airship's treasure radar in Olderion's northern bay, and a chest on the Rugged Mountain Path in Gronoa (PowerPyx).
What weapons can Aileen craft in Final Fantasy Resonance? One per party member: Save the Vermillion (Rain), Shisui (Lasswell), Elysium (Fina), Mechabo Hammer SUPER (Lid), Codex Providentiae (Nichol), Caelum Renatum (Jake), Abyss (Archwitch Fina) and Roselia (Sakura).
Which Aileen weapon should I craft first in Final Fantasy Resonance? Game8 says Sakura's Roselia, for its Concentrate and Sage's Eye at the start of battle, then Shisui, Mechabo Hammer SUPER or Codex Providentiae.
Is Adamantite missable in Final Fantasy Resonance? No. PowerPyx says all eight can be collected in free roam after the story, so The Weaponsmith achievement cannot be missed.
Are Aileen's weapons better than the Legendary Arms in Final Fantasy Resonance? Often, according to PowerPyx; Game8 also counts them among the strongest equipment in the game. Their start-of-battle effects are their edge.
