Colosseum

Final Fantasy Resonance's Colosseum opens in Chapter 4 in Grandshelt, the Royal Capital, with four leagues of five fights each: Fledgling (levels 25 to 32, Gaia Hammer), Brawler (Chapter 5, 40 to 48), Gladiator (Chapter 8, 55 to 70) and Champion (75 to 99, ending with Omega). The first three leagues each unlock an achievement; the Champion League is optional.

Final Fantasy Resonance's Colosseum is an arena in Grandshelt, the Royal Capital, that opens in Chapter 4 and holds four leagues of five battles each: Fledgling, Brawler, Gladiator and Champion (PowerPyx, Oct 21, 2026; Game8, Oct 24, 2026). Each league opens later in the story and pays out better first-clear prizes, from the Gaia Hammer that frees the Esper Titan to the Champion League's Super Ribbon and Omega Badge. Gamer Guru's Legendary Arms guide opens on the map at Grandshelt, the Royal Capital, for the Ancient Greatsword, the Fledgling Battle 3 prize. Square Enix described the Colosseum before launch as "High-difficulty content that requires well-developed characters and perfect party composition", with familiar faces from the series in the higher leagues (RPG Site, Jul 17, 2026).

Where the Colosseum is and when it opens

The Colosseum stands in Grandshelt, the Royal Capital: take the left path from the main square and pass behind the two statues holding shields (GameRant, Oct 20, 2026). It opens in Chapter 4, when Grandshelt Castle reopens; RPG Site calls that "a bit early" for the first league (RPG Site). Game8's Chapter 4 walkthrough recommends doing the Fledgling League there (Game8), while GameRant says to reach Chapter 5, Scars of Time, before you fight in the Fledgling League. Game8's gil guide describes the Colosseum opening through a board in Zoldaad (Game8); every other guide puts it in Grandshelt. See the Chapter 4 Walkthrough.

All four leagues

League Opens Enemy levels (Game8) Achievement
Fledgling Chapter 4 25 to 32 Just Getting Started
Brawler Chapter 5, after the Grandshelt town scenes 40 to 48 Arena Fighter
Gladiator Chapter 8 55 to 70 Career Fighter
Champion After the Gladiator League 75 to 99 None

Fledgling League rewards and tips

Battle First-clear reward Rare steal (RPG Site)
1 Magicite Shard Rune Scales, from the Wyvern
2 Adamantite Arcane Pendant, from the Chimera
3 Ancient Greatsword None listed
4 Magicite Shard Mirage Coat, from the Lieutenant
5 Gaia Hammer Striking Staff, from the Ahriman

The Fledgling League is the one to do as soon as it opens. Its fifth prize, the Gaia Hammer (95 Physical Attack, 93 Magic, per GameRant), breaks the Sealing Stone west of the Village of Kol, which frees the earth Esper Titan; bring Wind and avoid Earth for that fight (GameRant; PowerPyx). Battle 3's Ancient Greatsword becomes Ragnarok in the Chamber of Arms, and Battle 2's Adamantite is one of the eight Aileen needs; PowerPyx recommends level 27 for that fight (PowerPyx). Clearing the league earns Fledgling's Proof of Victory, which adds items to the Colosseum shop, including Magicite Shards, the Warding Bell (fewer random encounters) and the Foe Attractor (more), which Game8 prices at 12,000 gil and recommends for farming (Game8). See Espers and EXP, Gil and MRP Farming.

Brawler League rewards and tips

Battle First-clear reward Tip (RPG Site)
1 Magicite
2 Adamantite PowerPyx recommends level 41
3 Adamantite The Ochu damages itself to summon Microchus; PowerPyx recommends level 43
4 Magicite Equip Berserk protection (the Calm Armlet, sold on the airship) and physical counters
5 Ancient Cuirass Use Carbuncle

The Brawler League opens in Chapter 5, after the scenes in Grandshelt town. Gamer Guru's footage shows the Colosseum menu with the Brawler battles listed and the prompt to attempt Brawler Battle 5, the fight for the Ancient Cuirass. Two of its five prizes are Adamantite, so together with the Fledgling League the Colosseum holds three of the eight Adamantite (PowerPyx), and Battle 5's Ancient Cuirass becomes the Tatenashi Armor in the Chamber of Arms. Brawler's Proof of Victory adds Magicite, new weapons, Swallow Scales armor and auto-buff accessories to the shop (RPG Site). See Crafting and Adamantite.

Gladiator League rewards and tips

2 Reflect Ring
3 Barrier Ring
4 Protect Ring
5 Magicite Cryst

The Gladiator League opens in Chapter 8, with enemies from level 55 to 70 (Game8). Its fifth fight is the one to plan for: the last enemy ends with a Last Breath attack that deals 100,000 damage, and RPG Site's answer is Reraise on the party before it fires (RPG Site). Sakura's Eternal Veil, a party barrier that nullifies damage once, is the other tool for a single huge hit (Game8). Gladiator Proof of Victory unlocks new gear and Magicite Crysts in the shop. Clearing it earns Career Fighter, the only Silver among the Colosseum achievements.

Champion League and Omega

Battle First-clear reward
1 Super Ribbon
2 Lorica Sancta
3 Lorica Apocalyptica
4 Dragon Seal
5 Omega Badge

RPG Site's only advice for the Champion League: "Hold nothing back here; these are the hardest battles in the game." Its enemies run from level 75 to 99, and its last fight is Omega, which Game8 calls the "highest-leveled boss in the game"; Game8 says to take on the level 99 boss after maxing out your party and Visions (Game8). That makes Omega a harder fight than Ultima Weapon (level 70).

A Japanese-language clear by the channel つなまよよよ (Oct 23, 2026) opens on the Colosseum menu with every earlier league row checked and the last Champion battle selected, then fights a huge black, multi-legged machine in the arena with a four-member party. Another Colosseum clip from the same channel shows a giant silver-blue dragon in the same arena; no English guide we use names the other Champion opponents yet. No achievement needs the Champion League, so it is purely for the gear: PowerPyx's Ultima Weapon party already wears the Super Ribbon and Lorica Sancta (PowerPyx). As of Oct 25, 2026 no guide we use has published Omega's HP.
