Chapter 6 Walkthrough

Chapter 6 of Final Fantasy Resonance, Tranquility, takes the party to Gaberada and Gronoa, the Shuttered Land, where Fina must learn Holy to clear a miasma; you fight Lux in the Rugged Mountain Pass and Elfdrit in the Gronoa Shrine, then climb the Sanctissimus Shrine's run of bosses to Gelidus. Aileen starts crafting Adamantite weapons on the airship, and the chapter holds 12 Tablet Shards and the Esper Odin.

Chapter 6 of Final Fantasy Resonance, "Tranquility", is set in Gaberada and the land of Gronoa, which PowerPyx calls the Shuttered Land: the story makes Fina learn Holy and clear a miasma before you can go further. The chapter's big fights are Lux in the Rugged Mountain Pass, Elfdrit in the Gronoa Shrine and a string of bosses in the Sanctissimus Shrine that ends with Gelidus. It is also the chapter where Aileen starts forging the best weapons in the game on the airship. The route follows the RPG Site walkthrough by Adam and Bryan Vitale (RPG Site, Oct 22, 2026); the moments come from Sirloin's no-commentary video of every boss and PLAYGAMES' Chapter 6 playthrough.

Spoilers for Chapter 6 follow: the places, the bosses and who you fight.

Gaberada, the Undertown

RPG Site lists a Phoenix Pinion in the southwest, three Fuma Shuriken in the northeast, a Remedy, and Tablet Shard 77 by the northwest house. The useful find is the Magi-tenna in a hidden passage behind the inn: give it to Lid and she upgrades the airship's radar, which finds treasure on the world map (an Adamantite north of Olderion, an Ancient Garment west of Gronoa's entrance, a Magicite north of Zoldaad's volcano, a Berserker Ring north of Pharm and a Spell Jacket south of Mysidia). PowerPyx gives the same route: the hidden path behind the inn, down the west stairs, to an NPC and a chest on a ledge by the water.

Aileen's weapons start here

From Chapter 6 Aileen works on the airship deck and forges one weapon per character, each from one Adamantite (Game8, Oct 24, 2026). You need to have finished Forger of Wills in Dilmagia first. A merchant ship east of Pharm sells an Adamantite for 35,000 gil, and the airship shop adds the Adept's Armlet, which doubles EXP for whoever wears it (RPG Site).

Character Aileen's weapon
Rain Save the Vermillion
Lasswell Shisui
Fina Elysium
Lid Mechabo Hammer SUPER
Nichol Codex Providentiae
Jake Caelum Renatum
Sakura Roselia
Archwitch Fina Abyss

Sources: Game8, RPG Site.

Game8 suggests crafting Roselia, Codex Providentiae, Mechabo Hammer SUPER or Shisui first for their battle-start buffs, and PowerPyx says these weapons are often better than the Legendary Arms. Where the eight Adamantite are is on Crafting and Adamantite.

Research Center Ruins

The Research Center Ruins are a key-card dungeon: Lab Key Cards for Levels 1 to 3 open new sections, and teleporters, switches and warps lead you through (RPG Site). RPG Site lists Tablet Shards 78, 79 and 80, a Lightning Scroll II, an Arcane Long Rifle, three Unicorn Horns, Fortress Gear and a Magicite; a Violet Pot asks for an X-Ether, and the White Jade Stone is in the north room of Level 3. Archwitch Fina's permanent dialogue choice comes here: MP +10, Magic +3 or Spirit +3 (GameRant, Oct 23, 2026). Back in Gaberada after the ruins, Fina learns Holy.

Gronoa and Lux

With Holy, the miasma lifts and Gronoa opens up. Game8 notes that the Tonberries in the Gronoa Shrine drop about 9,500 gil each, one of the best gil spots at this point (see EXP, Gil and MRP Farming).

Lux waits in the Rugged Mountain Pass. RPG Site lists Lux as weak to Dark, dropping a Halo Ring. The game's own unit info in Sirloin's run shows Lux at level 41 with 75,000 HP and three traits: Blind attacks, dispelling your buffs, and a powerful physical attack. Bring Dark damage (Shantotto's Resonance is Dark, per Game8), something to cure Blind, and expect to recast buffs. RPG Site also lists Tablet Shards 81 and 82, a Kumobashiri and an Adamantite in the pass, and Tablet Shard 83 in the Town of Duggle.

Odin and the Gronoa bosses

Odin is this chapter's Esper. After Fina learns Holy and the miasma is gone, examine the grave at the Bladerain Stele northeast of Duggle to start Iron Splitter, then beat Odin's Shadow (PowerPyx). RPG Site lists Odin's Shadow as weak to Lightning, dropping a Magicite Cryst and the Broken Sword Blade, and says Odin is finally earned at the Nameless Ruins. See Espers.

Gronoa also holds two late Cave Masters: Humbaba (Wind; guard against paralysis) and Necromonarch (Light and Fire), both level 55 in GameRant's list. They are optional and can wait.

Gronoa Shrine and Elfdrit

The Gronoa Shrine holds Tablet Shards 84, 85 and 86, a Magicite Cryst, a Rod of Focus and Hermes Sandals (RPG Site). Its boss, Elfdrit, is weak to Light and Fire. In the footage Elfdrit fights among purple crystals against Lasswell, Rain, Nichol and Archwitch Fina.

Sanctissimus Shrine

The last dungeon of the chapter is a run of bosses, in this order according to RPG Site:

Boss Weakness Note
Archaroaevis Changes during the fight Check it again after each change
Dad Bomb Fire
Test Rider Light, Earth
Yakhanati Dark, Wind Alternates between resisting physical and magic: switch attack types
Arch Gargoyle (two) Light, Wind Defeat both together
Dragon Lightning Drops a Magicite Cryst
Gelidus Fire Drops Snow Spirit's Scarf

Source: RPG Site.

The quest log says only "Go deeper into Sanctissimus Shrine", and each hall has a boss. Dad Bomb, a huge blue bomb, is the easy one: PLAYGAMES answers with Ifrit, and Fire is its weakness.

Yakhanati is the one to plan for. Its unit info in PLAYGAMES' run reads level 40, 87,000 HP, and one trait: "Shifts between states that render physical or magic attacks ineffective". Keep one physical and one magic attacker ready and swap whenever its state changes; RPG Site adds that Dark and Wind are its weaknesses.

A hidden path north before Yakhanati leads to a Violet Pot (give it an X-Ether), Tablet Shard 87 and a Whip of Affliction; Tablet Shard 88 is on the elevator-room path, and the Hero's Blade is behind a hidden exit to the west before the last elevator.

Before the end comes an event battle that RPG Site keeps as a spoiler: Rain fights it alone, and he learns The Power Within from it.

Gelidus closes the chapter in a hall below a purple Crystal. RPG Site lists him as weak to Fire; the unit info in Sirloin's run shows level 43, 120,000 HP and the Snow Spirit's Scarf as his drop, and one of his traits changes his behavior when every party member has lowered physical defense. Bring Fire (Rain has innate fire attacks, per Game Informer) and a way to restore defense. Clearing the chapter unlocks And the Winner Is..., which only 0.6% of Steam players had three days after launch (Steam, Oct 25, 2026).

Sub quests that open

GameRant lists five for Chapter 6:

Sub quest Where it starts Reward
Last Respite Archwitch Fina, Grandshelt Moonlight Ring and a stat boost for Archwitch Fina
"Reunion" Fryevia, Gaberada (needs Elven Maven done) Magicite and 2,500 gil
Shimmering Reflections Fina, Mysidia Blessed Pendant and a stat boost for Fina
Mysidia, Ever Blooming A boy in Mysidia Amulet of Magic Absorption and a stat boost for Sakura
Iron Splitter Bladerain Stele, after Holy Esper: Odin

Sources: RPG Site sub quests, GameRant.

In PLAYGAMES' run, Sakura's quest pops up as "Mysidia, Ever Blooming: Quest accepted" in Mysidia, and the quest log then reads "Chapter 6 - Tranquility: Search the continent of Gronoa" above the Mechabo Unleashed goal "Defeat three Malbodooms in western Gronoa (0/3)". Three party substories belong here in PowerPyx's list: Fina's Shimmering Reflections, Jake's Token Legacy and Sakura's Mysidia, Ever Blooming. Finish all eight substories for Conscience Renewed. The last step of Mechabo Unleashed, three Malbodooms on Gronoa's western peninsula, is possible from now on (PowerPyx).

Before you move on

  • Craft at least one Adamantite weapon: the achievement The Weapon that Suits the User needs only the first (Steam).
  • Buy the Adept's Armlet for whoever is behind on levels.
  • Return Tablet Shards at Oblivion Palace; at 76 you get the Ancient Firearm (PowerPyx).
  • None of this is missable: the story continues in Chapter 7 Walkthrough, and everything stays open after the credits.

The full route is on Walkthrough, and every boss is on Bosses.
